An uncle walked up to me while I was waiting for a bus at the bus stop. I nv had the heart to reject and just cut a stranger off from talking. So I listened. Still being skeptical.
Thinking that at the end of the day, he may want to sell me something.
But nope. He was just telling me the importance of health & your mentality in life. And even gave me a postcard & a brochure. The postcard offers a free 12 lessons course which can help you to improve your mindset abt life. I know such marketing mtd of course. Get my details and pester me till like forever after I become a greedy pig and apply for it.

But I wondered. A free 12 lessons course. Not one or two. But 12. Hmm.

Next he was telling me abt Ellen G White. I don't know who the tell is she but yeah I googled.
I'm sure many christians will know. :)

Then he left.

I read the brochure and it was a list of help lines for various problems a person may encounter such as AIDs, teen pregnancy, broken family, depression etc. It also teaches one the mindset of a winner & a loser.
Nothing related to Sales or Donations which I expected both the postcard and brochure to have.

It struck me that he was just merely trying to help others sincerely from his heart. spending his time & effort. Spreading his love & concern for others, in his own way.

And somehow some of the words in the brochure are stucked in my mind for days already & I'm constantly reminding myself & applying what I read to my daily life now. Simple yet inspirational words.

So amazing how a random stranger can influence my life. In a positive way.
I think he will be glad if he knows his effort is paying off. :))
